FLOWER LOVER

A video of combination of signing "more", chewing and showing MaMa she had chewed up all her food. We can't believe we are planning Kylee's 1st birthday party. This past 10 1/2 months have truly been some of the best moments of our life. I know there are many more years to come, but she continues to amaze us day in and day out. We can't imagine our life without her and God has truly blessed our lives and continues to each and everyday.

So Kylee has a love for flowers. Last weekend we were sent back with flowers from the church that Paw Paw and GiGi put in honor of Kylee and Cousin McKenna. Kylee has gotten to admire them all week and greet them each morning after she woke up.

Kylee has also begun to jibber jabber (if that is a word) ALOT!!! We don't have a video of this, but with the flowers and BOW the deer on the wall she has been talking to them a lot and waving at them. Still yet to say MaMa, but I am hoping this is going to come out SOON!

We don't want to share a ton of recent pictures because we are trying to come up with a birthday card for Kylee and want all the pictures to be fresh so the next couple of weeks we may not have lots of pics until we get that completed. We are having lots of photo shoots for the birthday card preparations to get the best ones or at least try to.

Kylee enjoyed playing in the pantry today. She really enjoyed the crystal light boxes and trying to bite a hole in the rice bag.

New Tricks and Furniture!!!

Well Kylee has learned some new tricks this past week...we have been working on signing "more" during meal time and she finally started being really consistent this past week. She is doing great, so it is time to move on and start on learning a new sign. Below is a short video of Kylee signing "more." It is more like a clap right now, but she has the basic idea.

Also, we found out today Kylee can now drink from a straw. I have also been working on this with her, by only putting a little bit in her mouth and letting it run out. So today we stopped by Sonic and I put the straw in her mouth gave her a few seconds and "boom" she had it!!! We were so proud. Here is a picture we made while we were stopped at Sonic where the straw drinking all went down! We were waiting for Daddy to come back from the restroom so we had a short photo session. This past week Maw Maw and Papa came to visit to keep Kylee while Ms. Stef was out of town. Kylee really enjoyed all the attention of course!

While they were here Will and I took one night to continue on search for some new furniture for our living room since our other was falling in. We had stacked pillows on our couch so we would not fall into the hole. Below is a picture of our new couch furniture and recliner we got on Wednesday. Is fills up our room a lot more than our other, but so much more COMFY!!!!Friday night we met up with some of Will's good friends from high school for dinner and had a nice time. I love the picture of Adam and Kylee. Kylee has the new trick with sticking at her tongue every time she is happy so this is what she was doing with him while trying to get a picture!
We also made a short and very fast paced visit home this weekend. We did not get to really see any family like we usually do and want to, but hopefully will be back in the next month to do so. We celebrated Paw-Paw's birthday as well as Buddy's 80th birthday. It was a nice time with family, but again rushed and ended with a very worn out baby girl. Wish we had some pictures, to share, but forgot about the camera with all the action. Did finally pull out the camera Sunday evening when we got home and were unpacking. Kylee enjoyed a few minutes of suitcase playtime.

Week of Sinus Infection, Teething and 10 month BIRTHDAY!

Well....last blog I stated Kylee had been having fevers for two days. So Monday we took a trip to see the Dr. after she woke up with a fever. They were concerned with the 102 fever, and the cough she had for a couple of weeks...so after blood work and a chest x-ray the outcome was just a sinus infection. So they put her on Augmentin. Soon after Daddy went and picked up the medicine Mommy dropped half the bottle on the floor after the first dose. So we have to call the Dr. back tomorrow to get 4 more days worth of medicine because we had enough to last us until tonight. On Tuesday night she developed a rash from the meds, but not hives so we were still okay. So with fighting the sinus infection we are also fighting top teeth at the same time. Kylee woke up screaming one morning at 5:30, which she never does. So after a week of sinus infection, teething, clingyness(sp, sorry don't know correct spelling), and whining she seems to be doing better. One top tooth has finally broken through, but still waiting on the other. The top teeth have been totally different from the bottom. She wasn't phased by the bottom teeth, but the top ones have been a different story. She has been making up for the sleep she has been missing. Saturday morning Kylee slept from 6:30PM until 9:45AM straight!!!! Poor thing was worn OUT!!!!

Kylee has a new game with Daddy. Putting the paci in his mouth and taking it back out. This is what she does every night while getting ready to bed!

Kylee has also started trying to play peek a boo. But instead of putting her hands over her eyes she puts them on the side of her face. It is so cute!

On Friday Kylee celebrated her 10 month birthday!!! We can't believe she is two months away from being 1 year old!!! Below is the picture of Kylee giving kisses to the camera.
Saturday we just spent the day as a family and looked for some new couch furniture since ours is falling in and stacked with pillows, so it was a good day just hanging out at home, shopping and spending some quality time together. Below are some pictures of Kylee and her King Ranch outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Goins. Then the next pictures are also of another outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Goins, which Daddy LOVES!!!

This next week Ms. Stef (Kylee's babysitter) is going to be out of town so Maw Maw and PaPa have come to stay. Needless to say Kylee is probably going to get spoiled with lots of holding and attention. Have a great week!

Happy 4th of July!!!!

We don't have really big news from this week, but we did discover a few things and have a great 4th of July weekend. We discovered this week that Kylee really likes to watch herself in the videos on the blog! She really enjoys it and thinks it is funny!

Daddy also loves to play with Kylee by letting Kylee put her hand in his mouth and then not letting her pull it out. It is so funny watching this and Kylee trying to figure it out.

Kylee's new wave. She doesn't do her famous bend at the wrist wave as much anymore, except when saying bye bye. She has just been throwing her hand up to say hey these past couple of days, which has been kinda of cute! She has also finally started taking steps while she holds onto our fingers. She use to just lock her knees, but has started stepping and standing for a few seconds on her own!

We had a big 4th of July weekend. Saturday morning we started out with a pancake breakfast and parade that was up the street, which was fun. Then Saturday afternoon we had a cookout with a few visitors. Paw-Paw and GiGi came up for the parade and cookout. As well as, Uncle Brother (my brother), Aunt Brooke and cousin McKenna and also Jonathan, Candice and Cole. We had a great time with lots of food, fun and fireworks. We think Kylee had a little too much fun because she has had a fever for the past two evenings of 101.6 and 102. We are hoping it is just teething, hopeful thinking here! Below is the picture from this weekend with Cole, McKenna and Kylee. Keep in mind that Kylee is the youngest of them all, but the BIGGEST!!!!

To end this week's blog I wanted to add in the pictures of the guys last night shooting firecrackers out of the culvert at the Goins residence. The guys thought this was so entertaining and it was so funny watching them run away and then trying to figure out why it wasn't exploding!
