A college sorority sister is getting married in June and we stopped by to shower her with a gift for her upcoming wedding. Hard to believe we graduated college 8 years ago! 10 years ago we were living the college life! These are some close sorority sisters including my big sister beside me, standing behind Kylee. We had a short but sweet visit with them Saturday afternoon! All 3 of them will be getting married within the next year.
Most of you already know, but my mom was diagnosed a week ago last Friday with cancer. A mass was found on what we originally thought was her rectum, but we learned on Wednesday it is actually anal cancer. She has a tough road ahead of her with chemo and radiation, however we will get through it all and trust God that He already has this whole plan laid out ahead of us and we just have to continue to let Him lead the way. He is in total control and we will glorify Him through this storm! We are still awaiting test results regarding if the cancer is contained to one area. Please be in prayer with us and uplift her as we wait to hear these results this week and as she meets with her doctors for her treatment plan. We traveled to Gastonia after our visit with the girls on Saturday and spent time with Maw Maw and Papa. We had a wonderful, sweet and short trip and enjoyed some sweet frog before heading back this evening.
