Two feet and beauty

Video of the birthday boy eating his cupcake on his birthday Tuesday. He finally ate it without globs of icing. I first gave him the cupcake loaded with icing and he quickly pushed it away and whined. When I took the icing off and put some of the cake in his mouth, he "took it to THE HOUSE" in the terms of Daddy!
Most of you have seen the video on facebook this week and know that we have a WALKER on our hands. Wednesday evening, the day after his birthday he just decided he was ready to walk. After dinner, he walked across the living room and continued doing it! He of course can get somewhere a lot quicker by crawling, but he is on those two feet. We went and got him shoes this weekend for when we are outside or when needed. He does better walking barefooted, but wanted him to have something while we are out. I knew his foot was a little bigger, but didn't know he would need a size 6 shoe!! To put this into terms, Kylee was in a 4.5 when she was 1. There was another 1 year old in store yesterday when we were getting his shoes and this little boy wore a 3. Kolton is in a 6!!!! Little man has a BIG FOOT, that is what he gets for having a tall Mommy and tall Daddy! Also, check out the color of the shoes too, blue and orange. This was not done intentionally. When we got home and showed them to Will last night he said "UVA colors"!
GO UVA!!!

How can she be almost 4 years old???
One BEAUTIFUL little girl!!!

One of my new favorite pics!

Kylee: " Kolton, give me your arm so I can hold you down"

Kylee: You can't sit still, I will almost choke you to death to get a picture with you!!!
This week we will begin practices for Kylee's 1st season of T-Ball! Can't wait to see what we are in store for, she is SO EXCITED. Pictures to come next week! :-) Kolton also goes for his 1 year well check tomorrow, along with those nasty shots. :-(

BIRTHDAY BOY

Saturday was the birthday party for the almost ONE YEAR OLD!

Let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!

"This is not what I am use to eating"

Not fond of this cake!

All the kiddos minus a few

"Who is going to come push me???"

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa----I have to eat this again???"

"Guys, I told you I don't like that cake and now you rubbed it all on my face!"

Kolton, we can't believe you are 2 days shy of turning 1 year old!!! I know we say it all time how times flies, but we honestly can't believe you are ONE YEAR OLD! You are one AMAZING and CUTE little boy! Daddy, Mommy and Sister LOVE you so very much, but there is someone who loves you even more (hard to imagine) and that is Jesus. Kolton, every single day Mommy & Daddy pray for you and us, as your parents that we can parent you to reflect and model Jesus' love to you. We also pray that one day you will choose to follow and love Jesus and others as He loves you. You are still such a good sleeper, usually 12-13 hours a night. You drink all your milk and liquids from a cup and overall a good eater (even if you didn't like the cake at your party). You are taking more and more steps everyday. Today, you stood up from the floor all on your own and took a step to your toy. Most of your 12 month clothes are getting snug and a little short, so we will be moving to 18 month clothes over the next few weeks. The 12 month well check is not this week, but next so we will have height and weight results in a few weeks.
1 day old

362 days old
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY KOLTON!!!!

Big Boy & PINK GUNS

Sorry, I am late! We went to Paw Paw & GiGi's last weekend and came back with an empty seat in the truck. :-( Kylee is with Paw Paw and GiGi all week in Midland since they will be coming on Saturday to the BIG 1st BIRTHDAY PARTY! You would think I would be on time with a blog since we had one less child, but things have been really busy and I am just getting to posting.

For about a week and a half this counter has been clean....
That CLEAN counter means Kolton is off the bottle and formula!!!! He is being such a big boy and drinking his whole milk all from his cup. I really thought giving up his night time bottle was going to be hard, but I was slowly decreasing the amount in it. We were down to 3 ounces, so a week ago Sunday I just put him to bed without one. He was already very tired that evening so I said why not??? He did great, went straight to sleep! Such a big boy and was a bittersweet moment!

Here are our pictures from our weekend at Paw Paw and GiGi's -

Kolton eating about a 1lb of blueberries from PawPaw
(Hey PawPaw, could you please cut that hair of yours before my party next week?)

Kylee got to shoot her "pink gun" for the first time on Saturday

Her first time shooting it by herself. She had a hard time keeping it up on her shoulder.

Hey, where is my gun Mom???

Enjoying some of GiGi's good cooking!
Stay tuned on Sunday evening for 1st Birthday party pictures! Can't believe Kolton will be ONE year old in less than a week now. He is such a sweet and adventurous little boy and so thankful God has blessed us with two BEAUTIFUL children!

Brotherly & Sisterly Love

Kylee and Kolton were having a dance lesson one afternoon. So cute! At the end of the video I get him to blow me kisses, which he starts to do, but gets distracted by the phone.

Here they are playing ball...or Kolton throw and Kylee chase after it, repeat, repeat, repeat. It was really cute to watch.

This morning when we got to church and I stood Kolton up in the nursery, he was able to stand for about 30 seconds by himself. He is getting more steady on his feet and so ready to take that first step. We don't think it is going to be very long. He attempts to take a step and then falls down or reaches out and grabs something. Savoring these last few weeks of a crawler.
