Kolton turned 18 months old last Thursday!! Can't believe he is only 6 months to 2, definitely bittersweet. I went to post a blog last night, but remembered his 18 month well check was today, so I just decided to wait until after that visit. He is now 26lbs and 14oz and 33" long. Weight and height proportionate and doing just great. Of course as his OT Mommy I think he should be talking more, but Dr. said he is just fine. Last week when I did his pre visit developmental screening I started getting a little worried because it asked did he say at least 8 words. Well, at that point I hadn't really counted so I started stressing. Over all last week I started writing down every word he said and he has about 15 words. I think Kylee had many more than that, but we can't compare them plus they are different genders in their own personalities. :-) His OT Mommy also has to mention that when I told him to take off his pants tonight he did it all by HIMSELF! The past few weeks I have told him to take off his pants and he really does try, but tonight I turned around and he had them off. I do have to say I was very proud OT Mommy for independently doffing (removing) his pants!!! :-) :-)
Today when we got home Kolton started a new word (I can add that to the list) "neus" AKA nose. Along with pointing to his nose, this is what he did for the rest of the evening when we asked him to point to his nose.
"NEUS"
"NEUS" again
We are getting many of these whines and looks AKA tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants, especially his dinner!
FOOD NOW PLEASE!
This evening after dinner we had to capture these cute moments on camera.
