Week 1

Kolton is now a week old! Can't believe it has already been a week, but he is GREAT baby! As long as he is fed, swaddled and clean he is asleep 90% of the time. He is sleeping about 3 hours a night between feedings, which is great compared to his sister at this age! He goes between 2-3 hours during the day. We had a check up today at the dr. and he is almost back to his birth weight. He was 7lbs 9oz this morning at his weight check.

Kylee is doing great with him. This morning I had laid him in the bassinet in our room and she could not find him and she was really getting upset due to not being able to find her "baby brother." She is really sweet with him and always wanting to give hugs and kisses.

The last picture is how he likes his hands all the time if he can get them out of the swaddle. I think these hands are what I felt moving all over my bladder in utero!!!!

Family of 4!

Here is our new family of 4!!!

Kylee did well with meeting Kolton yesterday for the first time. She is going to be Ms. Mommy helping all the time. We are going home today to face the real world! Please keep us in your prayers during this transition!

KOLTON IS HERE!!!

Kolton was born on Sunday, 8/21/11 at 9:12PM weighing in at 7lbs, 12 oz and 20 3/4" long. Labor was fast and not too bad! I was admitted to the hospital a few before 6 and he was born a little over 3 hours later!!! Kylee has not yet got to meet her little Brother, but will in the morning when she wakes up. Will post pictures tomorrow of BIG SIS and LITTLE BROTHER!!! Until then here is a few sneak peeks....

All the glory to God for a healthy baby boy and a family of four!!!!!! Such a beautiful gift from the Lord!!!!

Wedding & now waiting....

This weekend we headed to Midland for less than 24 hours to see Jill and her fiance, Frankie get married. We had a plan to go, but knew it would be last minute decision due to not knowing progress with Kolton. I went to the Dr. on Thursday and all is the same and I guess Kolton is nice and snuggly! We headed Friday evening to Midland and left after the wedding reception on Saturday. Congrats to Jill and Frankie on their marriage!!!

We also met Grandma & Grandpa Goins for dinner on Saturday evening before as we headed back for a short visit. They brought Kylee a new amish hat, but Kylee decided she had a new way to wear the hat! Will and I thought it was pretty cute.

I am finalizing all work plans this week for my maternity leave, getting a hair cut, getting the car serviced, cleaned and getting Kolton's car seat in and we are ready to wait on him!!!! After Friday the 19th, COME ON KOLTON!!!! Can't believe he will be here so soon!!!!

We are getting really close to being a family of 4!!!!!!!!

Here is the soon to be BIG SISTER and almost 3 YEAR OLD....

On Sunday I met with a few of my college friends for dessert at Cheesecake Factory. We always get together when one of us has a special occasion and just time to spend some girl time together. We always have a great time laughing and catching up with one another.

I now am on weekly Dr. visits to check on the progress of Mr. Kolton. He is officially head down and continues to live on Mommy's bladder. Hopefully he doesn't make his arrival until after 8/22 so I can finalize things at work. We shall see..he will come when he is ready!
